Worth the money but if you are looking for better quality then you may as well pay a little more and upgrade with a different brand. I must have struck gold with that Buck canoe which was under that much, was sharp as a razor, and looked great. Overall fit and finish is what you would expect with a knife costing around a Jackson. Bone scales are still something but I still wished they had done better there. Whether it is for waddling, hunting, or even recreational use, Old Timer prides itself on providing quality, high performance cutlery at amazing prices. Old Timer has been making quality knives for generations. So what did I like about this besides the price then? Well, I don't have any stockman knives of this barbarian size so having a big boy like this is kind of cool. Old Timer Genuine Bone Middleman Folding Pocket Knife. That looks a little cheap to me and I've got a Chinese made Buck canoe that has bone scales which looks more like the color in the stock sales photo for this Old Timer and it has beautiful colored bone scales. Also, the bone scales were a little disappointing as the ends of the scales went from dark brown to white and with no color transition at all. The blades worked fine and without wobble but they did not come very sharp so factor that in that you will need to sharpen on your own before use. You won't get an heirloom quality knife here but your not paying for that either. The build quality was decent but not great. That's how they keep the price down of course so keep in mind it's not made in the USA. If you had not already guessed this knife as well as many others of same brand are now made in China. I know this manufacturer has decent quality knives at very affordable prices and typically they use delrin scales so grabbing one with bone seemed like a real boon. I was suprised to see a bone scale large stockman style knife for this price. Okay for the cost but there are better to be had
